Official Rules

No purchase necessary to enter or win. The promotion shall be construed and evaluated according to United States law. Do not participate in the promotion if you are not a legal U.S. resident. Void where prohibited.

This contest is not affiliated with the intercollegiate football game played on January 1, 2009 at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California, and is not sponsored or endorsed by the City of Pasadena, California.
  1. Eligibility: The Comcast.net “Rush to the Rose Bowl” Sweepstakes (the “Promotion”) is only open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who reside in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia (excluding Puerto Rico and all other territories and possessions) who are 18 years of age or older at the time of participation. Potential winner may be required to provide proof of legal U.S. residency (in a form satisfactory to Sponsor) if requested by Sponsor to determine eligibility and as a condition of prize award. Employees, agents, officers and directors of Comcast Interactive Media (“Sponsor”) and RealTime Media, Inc. (collectively, together with Sponsor, the “Promotion Entities”), and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, franchisees, divisions, advertising, promotional, fulfillment and marketing agencies (collectively, “Released Parties”), and their immediate families (parent, child, sibling or spouse and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and persons living in the same households as such individuals (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate or win in the Promotion. By participating, you agree to these Official Rules and to the decisions of the Promotion Entities whose decisions are final and binding in all respects. Void in Puerto Rico, all other territories and possessions and where prohibited by law, rule or regulation. All applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
  2. How to Participate: The Promotion begins on October 24, 2008 at 12:00 P.M. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on December 8, 2008 at 11:59:59 P.M. ET (the "Promotion Period"). 

    To enter, visit http://go.rtm.com/comcast-net/rosebowl (the "Web Site") during the Promotion Period and click on the Comcast.net “Rush to the Rose Bowl” Sweepstakes link.  There, you will be asked to register for the Promotion by entering your true and correct information on the registration form. Submit completed entry form as indicated to receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes.

    Limit one (1) Sweepstakes entry per person and per email address per day. Entries received from any person or email address in excess of the stated daily limitation will be void. A day is understood to start at 12:00:00 A.M. ET and end at 11:59:59 P.M. ET the same day, except for the first day, which for the purposes of this Promotion begins at 12:00 P.M. ET.  All prize awards are subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with the terms of these Official Rules.  Any attempt to use multiple names or email accounts or other tactics to register or enter more than the stated limits may result in the disqualification by the judges or Sponsor from the Promotion and all associated registrations or entries will be void.  Registrations or entries generated by script, macro or other automated means or with the intent to subvert the registration or entry process may be void. Except as noted in these Official Rules, information collected for this Promotion is used only for the purpose of winner notification, and will not be re-used, sold or shared in any manner by Promotion Entities or any third parties unless entrant has elected to receive additional information and promotional material from the Sponsor or a third party.  In the event of any discrepancy between the Comcast privacy policy (the “Comcast Privacy Policy”) and these Official Rules, these Official Rules shall control and govern.  By participating in the Promotion, participant agrees to all of the terms and conditions of the Comcast Privacy Policy, which is available at http://www.comcast.net/privacy.
    Registration will be deemed by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of registration and he/she must comply with these Official Rules.  The authorized account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address.  Potential winner may be required to provide Sponsor with satisfactory proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the potentially winning entry.
  3. Sweepstakes Prize, Drawing, And Odds of Winning: The potential Grand Prize winner will be selected in an electronic randomized drawing from all eligible entries received.  Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. This Sweepstakes drawing will be held on or about December 15, 2008.

    Grand Prize (1): A trip for up to four (4) to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA (exact dates to be determined by Sponsor).  The trip consists of: round trip air transportation (coach) from a major U.S. gateway airport to CA, two (2) standard double rooms/double occupancy for three (3) days/two (2) nights, and four (4) tickets to the January 1, 2009 Rose Bowl Game. 

    Total ARV of the Grand Prize is $5,400.
      Actual value may vary based on point of departure.  Any difference between stated value and actual value will not be awarded. Winner is responsible for transportation to/from airport, hotel and game. Trip must be taken on dates specified by Sponsor or prize will be forfeited and Sponsor will have no further obligation to such winner.  Sponsor reserves right to change dates.  If the winner’s residence is within 100 miles of Pasadena, CA, ground transportation will be provided in lieu of air transportation and no substitution or compensation will be provided for the difference in prize value. Winner and guest must travel together on the same itinerary and are responsible obtaining all necessary travel documents prior to travel.  Each guest must be of legal age of majority in his/her jurisdiction of residence (and at least 18), unless accompanied by his/her parent or legal guardian and must sign a liability/publicity release prior to issuance of travel documents. If guest is a minor, his/her parent or legal guardian must sign and return release on behalf of such minor and accompany him/her as one of the guests. Travel must be made through Sponsor’s agent, on a carrier of Sponsor’s choice. Certain travel restrictions may apply. All federal, state and local taxes and any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided, including, without limitation, ground transportation, luggage fees, meals, souvenirs, gratuities and vaccinations are the sole responsibility of the winner. Tickets are subject to certain terms and conditions specified thereon. Seat locations will be determined by Sponsor. Winner and guest(s) agree to comply with all venue rules and regulations. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of such portion of prize.

    No prize substitution, cash equivalent of prize, transfer or assignment of prize (or portion thereof) permitted, except by Sponsor in its sole discretion, or as otherwise provided herein. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value, at its sole discretion.

    The Promotion Entities will award the Grand Prize only upon winner confirmation, verification and final approval.  Winner will receive an IRS Form 1099 for the retail value of the prize.  Any portion of the prize not accepted by winner will be forfeited.  All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion.
  4. Sweepstakes Prize Award: The potential Grand Prize winner may be notified by phone or e-mail and will be required to satisfactorily complete an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability and Publicity Release, and W9, all of which must be returned within ten (10) days of date of winner notification to RealTime Media. If potential Grand Prize winner cannot be contacted; is ineligible; fails to return the completed and executed Affidavit and Release, if the prize notification is returned undeliverable; or if the potential Grand Prize winner otherwise fails to fully comply with these Official Rules, he/she will forfeit that prize and the prize may be awarded to an alternate winner as selected by the Promotion Entities.
  5. General: The Grand Prize winner hereby expressly grants to the Promotion Entities and their respective designees all rights to use and publish his/her name, likeness (photographic or simulated), and city and state of residence for solely advertising, marketing, promotional and publicity purposes in connection with this Promotion (“Advertising”), in any and all media now or hereafter devised, worldwide in perpetuity, without any form of notice or any amount or kind of compensation or permission, except where prohibited by applicable law.  All copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights in such Advertising shall be owned by Sponsor or its licensors and winning participants hereby disclaim and waive any claim of right to such Advertising.  Such Advertising shall be solely under control of Sponsor or its licensors, and winning recipients hereby waive any claim of control over the Advertising content as well as any possible claims of misuse of winning recipient’s name, likeness or voice under contract, tort or any other theory of law. The Grand Prize winner agrees that, upon reasonable notice, they will use good faith efforts to be available to travel for the promotional purposes of Sponsor for a period of one (1) year from the end of this Promotion. In the event the winner is required to travel, Sponsor agrees to pay all costs associated therewith.

    This Promotion is conducted in English (which will be given its everyday ordinary meaning), and any and all disputes will be resolved in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania without regard for conflict of laws principles.
  6. Conduct: By participating in this Promotion, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Promotion Entities, which shall be final, binding and non-appealable in all respects. The Official Rules will be posted on the Web Site throughout the Promotion Period. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification and all associated entries will be void. The Promotion Entities reserve the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any individual found to be tampering with the participation process or the operation of the Promotion or the Web Site; or to be acting in any manner deemed the Promotion Entities to be in violation of the Official Rules; or to be acting in any manner deemed by the Promotion Entities to be unsportsmanlike or disruptive, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person and void all associated entries and/or registrations. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A USER OR ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES) FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
  7. Limitations Of Liability: Released Parties assume no responsibility or liability for (a) lost, late, stolen, inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, misdirected or garbled registrations or entries or emails; (b) any incorrect or inaccurate entry information, or for any faulty or failed electronic data transmissions; (c) any unauthorized access to, or theft, destruction or alteration of entries or registrations at any point in the operation of this Promotion; (d) any technical malfunction, failure, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, cable, satellites, servers, computers or providers utilized in any aspect of the operation of the Promotion; (e) inaccessibility or unavailability of the Internet or the Web Site or any combination thereof or for computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Promotion, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Promotion, the processing of entries or registrations, the announcement of the prize, or in any Promotion-related materials; or (f) any injury or damage to participants or to any other person's computer which may be related to or resulting from any attempt to participate in the Promotion or download of any materials in the Promotion.  If, for any reason, the Promotion (or any part thereof) is not capable of running as planned for reasons which may include without limitation, infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which may corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, then the Promotion Entities reserve the right at their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion in whole or in part.  If terminated, the Promotion Entities may, at their discretion, award the Grand Prize from among all non-suspect, eligible entries received up to time of such action.
  8. Releases: All participants, as a condition of participation in this Promotion, agree to release and hold harmless Released Parties from and against any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons or property which may be sustained, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, in connection with accessing the Web Site, participation in any aspect of the Promotion, or the receipt, ownership or use of the prize (including any travel or activity-related thereto) awarded.
  9. Grand Prize Winner’s Name: To receive the name of the Grand Prize winner (available after December 15, 2008) send a self-addressed stamped #10 envelope for receipt by January 31, 2009 to: Comcast.net “Rush to the Rose Bowl” Sweepstakes Winner’s Name, c/o RealTime Media, Inc., 1060 First Avenue, Suite 201, King of Prussia, PA 19406.
